In the context of UNESCO Gala 2009 in Düsseldorf, a JD oil painting is auctioned. The proceeds will benefit a children's aid project. The work, entitled "The act is the
beauty ..." is specially made for this purpose. We hope for a maximum score!

2009 starts with Speed !

Available immediately via all JD galleries: "Speed ? I am speed", Steve McQueen /170x130cm, serigraphy on canvas in 15 colours and painting. Varying versions of 9 examples each will be produced, markedly different in their designs.

"Crazy little things called art..." December 2008

such is the title of the exhibition in the Art Gallery Wiesbaden. JD produced about 200 small format uniques and they were for the first time presented on a designed wall. The response was enormous. The audience stayed very busy combining entire groups of uniques according to their liking. JD continuously elaborated on individual ideas and motifs. Much material from his archive, some 20, 40 or even 60 years old, some historically valuable comics from 1950, polaroids from the 80s, old sketches, abstract oil paintings, everything came together. No limit, except in dimensions… This installation will be shown until the end of December.

Breitling goes JD !

The renowned Swiss watch manufacturer Breitling had shown JD’s works in the framework of a trade fair in 2007. In the course of the construction of new company buildings we now realized a cooperation of gigantic dimensions. JD recently finished the assignment to produce four works, each in the dimensions of 400 x 280 cm. The foyer of the new building offered approximately 20 m of height for these works.
The four are, as many of JD’s works, produced as serigraphy with additional painting. The dimensions were the largest challenge for the artisans and printers in the studio. Each motif is printed and painted in small segments. The preparation and execution of this assignment required a huge effort. But only the results count…..
Architects, corporate management and our agent Alex Bandi are impressed by the result and confirm that the works fulfil their high expectations. What else can an artist hope for….?!
